Melanoma cancer cells with magnetic nanodisks in-vitro culture for 24h. Frames were taken every 10 min. The regular motion and division of cells indicate the absence of cytotoxicity effects.
A laser beam crosses an Eppendorf with magnetic nanodisks dispersed in water. The oscillatory field of a coil (right-hand side) rotates the nanodisks and the brightness of the light fluctuates at the same frequency.
